OrderStatus, OrderVisitorID & visitor not updating

Cart seems to work fine....however...

I get to checkout_success.php WITHOUT the order status updating to "pending", and the visitor being recorded, and the visitorID being updated in the orders table.

Surely it's supposed to update those values & insert the visitor, right?

eCart does not automatically update these fields on the checkout success page, have you added the functionality to update these columns?

The VisitorID column will only be populated if you are having users log in before purchasing.

Are you using Local Or remote Checkout?

What Payment gateway.

I'm using local checkout through AuthNet. I'd *like* to use PP checkout as well, but I eliminated that option, since it was causing problems.

I haven't setup code to update those fields. I gather that ecart functionality doesn't include that, so I should set that up myself?

If you are using Local Checkout, it is not needed to update those fields on the success page, the confirm page will only store the order details and order summary if the transaction is successful.
