PowerStore2 with PowerCMS

Hi WA,

I've had a quick look at the setup files (localhost.php, wa_globals.php) and they look very similar to the powerstore settings.

Do I simply add the new tables to the powerstore database tables?

Can you please give me a few tips before I start as I am now running a live site?

Thanks, Mark.

I think the easiest way to integrate the the two for you would be to add these tables to your existing db, but when you add it to your site you should put it in it's own directory. You will still need to configure the globals and connection info for the PowerCMS files. If you do it like this you will have a PowerCMS implementation that will be separate from the PowerStore but you will be able to add the content to any page in your site since it uses the same db.

Hi Eric,

Thanks, I've added the two tables, WA Globals and connections file into a separate directory and that all appears to work fine in that it loads and l can login. PowerCMS doesn't appear to find the site pages as none are available. What would you suggest I change? I've played around with the wa_globals remote root setting.

Thanks, Mark.

Relative to your site root where are the PowerCMS files? Also, what did you specify in the globals file for PowerCMS for the URL's?

Hi Eric,

The PowerStore2 WebSite resides in a subdomain on the main site. The PowerCMS files are in a directory on the subdomain root directory.

For both localroot and remoteroot l have specified the CMS directory that the files were uploaded into as above. if l change this then CMS won't load its pages.

Mark.

That is great to hear. I was not sure why things were not working so I opened a ticket on this issue rite when you were responding. I will close that ticket now since you have it worked out.

Thanks Eric Appreciate the support.

One think that I see every time I insert a new record is that the system comes up with a "no record found" however the record is saved as it should be and is viewable under the View / Edit Content tab.

No big deal as it saves however just thought that I would pass it on.

Thanks again, Mark.

There may be a problem with the setting of the session variable that holds the id of the last inserted record. To check on this go into your product detail page and go to line 431, this is the line that should say <h1>Product Details</h1>. In this line just before the </h1> add in this code:

php:
<br/>The id for the last inserted product is: <?php echo $_SESSION['WADA_Insert_Products'?>

This will let you know if the id was set properly, to confirm the result go into your products table in your db and look for the id you see, it should be for the item you just inserted.
