Full-width header will not display in IE8

Full-width header will not display in IE8

I used SiteAssist Professional to build a 3 column liquid website with full width header last year because I was struggling to create a liquid website within Dreamweaver. I was pleased with the results until Internet Explorer 8 was released.

The company's logo displays nicely in the full width header in IE7 and prior versions. However, it will not display in IE8 unless compatibility mode is selected. Since I do not understand all of the differences between IE7 and IE8, I don't know where to begin looking to identify the problem.

Please advise if others have encountered a similar problem with a full width header in IE8 and how they have resolved it. If someone has the time to look at the website, it can be found at www.seasoundstudio.com.

I realize that everyone has their own deadlines to meet so I am not necessarily seeking a complete solution, but I would appreciate some guidance because I don't know where to start.

Thank you.

Bill

When I check on the page in IE8 or in FireFox I see the same thing. When I look at the css I think it is the way you have the background image properly specified. Rather than use the background-image you should try using just the background property like this:

content.css
#fullWidthHeader

background: url(http://www.seasoundstudio.com/Logos/SSSWebsite-Logo-%281-2-09%29.jpg);

When I adjust the css to be like this it seems to work for me.
