Integrating PHPbb...

I'm in the planning stage of an interactive site and want to do the same thing WebAssist did with integrating the phpbb forum...

What method did you use to get the usability from your site to the phpbb site?

I've discovered a few suggested "pimps" the following being the most widely used...

viewtopic.php?f=71&t=993475

What would you suggest?

The integration that we have implemented with phpbb is very custom and specific to our needs. The implementation took a bit of planning and many hours of customization to get it the way we needed it because of our requirements.

I would suggest that you start by looking through some postings on integrations to see if you can find any that are similar to your needs and try to work with that. To get it all worked out though will require you to do a bit of custom dev work to integrate things.

I just wanted to update this post to clarify that the system we use is the vBulletin one.

Does anyone else have an easier way of implementing this? I'm not looking to synchronize the two user tables, I just want it to register the new user account on both my php site and the phpbb forum - and also log them in to the forum when they log into the php site.
