How to allow NEGATIVE values, when validation numbers

I use validation toolkit (2.3.5 ASP/VbScript). It's is a great extension.

But I recently got an issue validating negative numbers. Apparently it is not possible to allow a negative value. Even if I leave the box 'minimum value' empty, a negative number(eg. -0,3) still is not allowed by the script.

Is there a way to overcome this in any way ?
I realy need to check if the format is correct and allow a number to be negative.

Many thanks

I found the fix ...

in the new version of validation toolkit negative values are allowed, but updating the extension is not enough.

You need to remove all validations from the page and then add them all back.
