Can someone please explain how the Bottom price (and Top price) work in Power Store.
Thanks

If you are talking about a search, they would be the variables used to set the lowest price in a range and the highest price.
For example, if your customer was looking for a gift between $25 - $50:
BottomPrice = 25
and
TopPrice = 50
Sorry I wasn't clear. I was refering to the code on the Products_Results page.
There is a condition in the recordset I dont understand, then there is this around line 503
<?php
if($row_WADAProducts["BottomPrice"] > 0) {
echo number_format($row_WADAProducts["BottomPrice"],2);
} else {
echo number_format($row_WADAProducts["ProductWPrice"],2);
}
?>
I dont understand how a bottom or top price gets defines for a product.
Thanks
If you go to this page on the PowerStore demo, you will see where the prices are entered.
Products_Search.php
If you dont mind, I have further question.
I have added an item to the products table for wholesale price (ProductWPrice). The idea is a 'wholesaler' logs in with a email, password and customer number. I have set this up and created a rule - memberlogeddIn. What I was planning was if this rule is passed, the products (& detail) pages will display the wholesale price(ProductWPrice) instead of ProductPrice.
I am not sure how to fit this around the Bottom Price code.
Thanks
Hi,
Dont worry about my last post. I have created new Product result and details pages for wholesalers - conditional upon login. I have a new problem - to do with displaying results when a wholesale price is being used and the product has options attached.
I started a new thread for this
- Adding Items to PowerStore Products Table
Cheers
Sounds like a good way to go.
