Problem with DataAssist

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of rewriting my web site in Dreamweaver.

I used SiteAssist Pro to create the new site, now I am in the process of
using Dreamweaver to the Admin Pages so that I can start adding data
to my Database.

As I worked though the Tutorial (to refresh my mind) everything went well up to Page 19 of the Tutorial.
Once I clicked the "Finish" button the Wizard created the Result and Search Pages, as it gets to the
Details Page I get a message from windows that Dreamweaver has encountered a problem and it
needs to close. (See the image attached)

Now the strange thing about this is it only happens if I am creating the Pages for the "Items" table in the
Blue Sky Music Database (using PHP, and the Blue Aky Music Database). When I create the Orders or
Visitors Table I do not get this error message and the Wizard creates the pages.

Again I am just working though the "DataAssist - Getting Started Guide" Tutorial.

I have set up PHP and MySQL and tested them to make sure they work. I uninstalled DataAssist and then
reinstalled after I restarted my computer. I have make sure the Site is attached to the proper Database.

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP3 and have checked for updated for Dreamweaver CS3.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Problem Solved now new problem

Ok, I figured out what the proble was with Dreamweaver and fixed it by deleting the .dat file.

Now my new problem is I keep getting the following error when I preview and click on the seach button in the "Search Page" as outlined in the tutorial on Page 24.

Fatal error: Class 'FilterDef' not found in C:\wamp\www\SiteAssist\items_Results.php on line 10

Thanks for any help you can provided.

Sounds like the DataAssist Search include file reference is in the wrong place.

look for a line of code similar to:

php:
<?php
//WA Database Search Include
require_once("WADbSearch/HelperPHP.php");
?>

and move it to line 1 on your page.

Thank You

No that was not the problem.

The problem was on Page 13 of the Getting Started Guide it Step 9 has you select "ItemCatName" this item is not in the table.

The itemgategory table that you should be using in that step has only two columns, ItemCatID and ItemCatName.

I am including a screen shot that shows the structure for the itemcategory table.

Table Field

Yes, I created a print out of the tables and can see this field but for some reason using the
Getting Started Guide Instructions I get an error in Dreamweaver.

Please be more specific. What is the error? When does it occur?
