Div being pushed over

Div being pushed over

Hi,

I have a div tag that is being pushed over by another form. I want it to be on top of the other one, but instead it slides over. Perhaps the best way to describe it is by looking at this site:

homepage.php

The video demonstration section should be on top of the grey section. I just have the grey section as a grey background to repeat down automatically along with the length of the white section. Does anybody have any ideas to solve it? I might need a support ticket for this one...

Your div Container2 has:

left:25.6%

That is what is moving it over to the left. You can probably remove that and move the background image from: Container3 to: Container2 and it will look like what you want...

either that or else you could maybe move GreySidebar inside of Container3 instead of in Container2

Alright, moving the GreySidebar into Container 2 seemed to work for placement, but now it is hidden. I tried setting the z-indez for GreySidebar to 9999, but it still wouldn't show up. How do I get it to the top?

you have moved container2 inside container3... the sidebar is floated to the right, that is why you can't see it.

Container2 still has the left attribute, so removing the float in the sidebar only moves it back to where it was originally.

Alright, I'm still a little bit confused. I think container 2 was already inside container 3. I thought I just moved GreySidebar from container3 to container2. What specifically should I do differently?

Move grey sidebar above Container2 inside Container3 and remove the float from GreySidebar.

Things went a little bit haywire there... This is the result. Any ideas?

homepage.php

I used a tutorial in the past for how to extended the sidebar's background to fit with the content next to it, so that is what I was doing with the left:25.5% and container stuff. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the exact method and can't find the website again...

Get rid of the float right in the GreySidebar and at least that will be in place.

If you just remove all of the css applied to containter2 it seems to fix it.
