eCart 5 Beta Build Available

A zip file will be emailed to you today, containing eCart 5 Build 013 (Beta). The beta build is only available to the WCE group so please do not report bugs or feedback in the regular support forums; use this forum to provide us input or ask questions.

The serial number for this group is h8yI4-fpQuI-0x0ja-MuOvw. There are a limited amount of activations so please do not install on more than 2 machines. This serial number will work until it goes live in January. Post here, if for any reason, it doesn't work before then.

We look forward to your feedback!

The zip file turned out to be 15Mb so if your email cannot accept attachments that large, you can send an alternative email to contact you at (for this build only) to arobinson@webassist.com.

Tomorrow I will also try to post the build at a location where you can download it. We are short on IT folks this week.

Build 014 has added Order Table Presets. It would allow you to define your own set of tables to be used for order management.

If you want to use that feature you may want to wait until build 015, since the current one has a few bugs if you use different table names and data field sizes in the database. Build 015 should have the preset manager integrated and have those other issues worked out.

Dave, I sent you build 015 via email. I don't have access to get it up on a server for everyone this afternoon. If anyone else wants build 015 via email today, please email me.

We are in a period where we are doing lots of builds right now since we recently closed all of the open bugs and are now testing to make sure they are fixed and fixing any that re-open.

There is already another build... 016, and could even be one tomorrow. Then you will probably see a lul until after the new year, since all of the bugs should be fixed and we will be mostly working on documentation, help, website updates, and other efforts related to the upcoming launch sometime next month.
