I set up my sandbox accounts. Changed coding in attached confirm page, to paypal specs. Now I get this message when I test my site:

I dont see a problem at line 408 - 418. where I see a problem is at line 431 - 432:

The on0_<int>, os0_<int> are used to send optional information to paypal. the on0_<int> element is used to define the name of the option, os0_<int> is used to send the value of the option. I think the problem is occurring where you are sending the Cart Description ans the option name. Try changing that to:

You should start with the origianl code, then modify it to send the size.

Thank you for your help. I was able to use the sandbox. Upon using it I noticed that some of the info I want displayed to the customer and the biz owner is not showing. Specifically, the shipping shows as handling and the item description does not show. I went into the confirm page and did the following:

When I attempted to get into the sandbox, It would not let me. I think when I added the hidden fields, my coding was wrong. When I omitted my additions I was allowed in. Here is my confirm without the additions. Please let me know what I did wrong.

The sandbox works but as I posted earlier some of the info is not showing correctly. I have included the screen shots and confirm.php. In the screen shots from pay pal, I want the columns to show, item number and prodid, now the prodid shows as the item number, description(now that is showing in a column called options with the size if present) I would like it to show separatly. My shipping still shows as handling and not shipping.
I put a line in confirm #430 and thought it would create a description column, but does not. Then I put the description on line #433 and 434, it shows but with the size option. For shipping I added line 451 and it did not change how it is shown at paypal,,,still with the handling. Currently I have no handling fees.

You do not have a lot of control over how paypal displays the item number and prod id, you cannot change the columns that are available, those are predetermined by PayPal. Same for the description, you will need to display this under the options category, you cannot separate this out, they do not have the display configured to show a separate description column.


as for the shipping, change:

I followed your direction and when I use the new line, the shipping does not show up at all. Then, I reversed the line:

and the shipping showed up as handling. Not sure what to do so that the shipping shows up as shipping and not handling in the pp sandbox.

According to PayPal documentation on this the input that is named shipping should hold the value for the total shipping charge when the cart upload is used. This should be the case for you in this checkout.

Do you have any shipping rules defined in your PayPal profile? If so this will override the value that you have specified in this element.

Instead of changing the handling element you should try adding in another one for the shipping, it should look like this:

Hi Eric,
I put the code in and it did not work. The shipping did not show up in the sandbox. If the shipping is separated out and not part of the handling as I have it in the attached script it does not show up. When it is shown with handling, after signing into the pp account, i get the line handling and shipping and it shows there. When I sign into the biz or personal account, only handling shows and the ship amount shows as handling....the shipping amount is blank. I did my shipping in the ecart shipping tab: us is charged 12.00 and foreign shipping is charged 18.00 they are flat rate shipping rules.
Please let me know what I need to do to have this post correctly in paypal.
