Use with DA Insert_Record

Use with DA Insert_Record

I'm trying to use dynamic dropdowns in a Insert_record page created by DataAssist. I cannot get the Server Behavior "create dynamic array" to work properly. It inserts the code after the <head> tag but does not record it in the "Server Behaviors" list. When I highlight the parent field, and try to use the Behavior/"Populate list from array" behavior, it is grayed out. I have tried the dropdown in a blank php page* and everything worked perfectly, but not in the insert_record page. I have upload all relevant to the production site.
I have attached a file with the links to both pages.

Is the code for the create dynamic array the same on both of these pages? If so then it would indicate that there is something else interfering with it.

One thing that you can try would be to copy the code from the blank page with just the select lists on it into your other page. So long as the code is there correctly it should work for you regardless of weather you can see the server behavior in the panel.

Please give this a try to see if it works for you, if you have any trouble with this please post back with both pages in question and I can take a look for you.

Hi not sure if this is any help. I had the exact same problem and found out it was my template that was preventing everything from working correctly. So to get around it I set up the page first (without a template), made sure everything was working as it should and then added my template to the page at the very end.

Hope this works for you.

Javascript error in Populate List from Array

I was coming to that same opinion, that it was the template. So, I added the template to a copy of the page that worked but it shows all of the child table not the correct items. When I try to edit the Behavior I get a Javascript error "while executing InspectBehavior on Populate List from Array.htm" and I am unable to change the target list to "Select child..."

No luck

Been there, done that, yesterday. I should have said. Today I deleted the file again, removed the extension and installed the extension again. Still no luck. Let me know if you want me to send any files.
