broken add to cart buttons-is this normal

Hi,
Every time I make adjustments to my confirm page or check out page and I upload the new pages and the wa cart file, I have to go into each detail page refresh the add to cart button and re upload it. Is this normal? How can I prevent this from happening?
Thank you

what are the changes you are making that cause you to have to refresh the add to cart buttons?

Can you give some more details on the exact changes being made?

most of the changes were done on the confirm page, taxes and shipping. On the cart, taxes and shipping were showing, but I eliminated that.

I still need more details on the changes you are making. Really the only change that should cause the Add to Cart buttons to break and need to be refresh don the detail page would be if you edited the eCart Object and added new columns.

This is the sort of detail I am asking about.
