Slight Concern ...

Have used PowerStore2 for a winery site ( I'm running Dreamweaver CS3 on a Mac. Works quite well and would recommend it as a staring base for any eCommerce site. I've been able to change things reasonably easily to suit my needs.

Having said that I've a slight concern with a customer not being able to order on the site. When she orders it ends up at the checkout_failure page with issues regarding the credit card payment not going through. I've tested it with my own credit card and it works fine, but hers (and 1 other) won't work.

We're using a local (Australian) payment gateway (eWay, to process the payment. We have the ability to make a payment to us via their site and this particular customer's details goes through fine there, yet doesn't on the site.

Any thoughts? Should we try and set up the failure page to give us a bit more information about why?

Yes, the first step to finding the cause of the issue when checkout is failing is to add the checkout response bindings to the failure page to get the response from the gateway. the gateway response will contain valuable information to help guide in what to look for in trouble shooting.

See the "Debugging eCart Transaction Failed issues" tutorial in the how to section of the eCart support page:
