Details page not showing

Hi,

I have created insert, search, update and details page using dataassist.

everything works except when you click to view the details page of a record it cannot display the web page.

Can anyone help with why this has happened. I followed through the wizard.

Also how can i make fields in my insert forms mandatory?

Many thanks

Is a php error occurring on the details page?

Add the following code to line 1:

php:
<?php
error_reportiong
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

to make fields on the insert page mandatory, use validation toolkit.

Path Issues

I'm having a problem correcting a "path" issue.

I've uploaded my DataAssist site onto the server, and after I click on any link the path reverts back to the the "/htdocs/ instead of remaining at the domain[dot]com site it's loaded onto if that makes any sense! Then I get a "page can not be displayed" error.

Here is are the details of what I'm getting:

manageorders.php

but when I edit the url with the domain name the page load up

domain[dot]com/manageorders.php

I created the DataAssist Site w/DwCS4. I compared the 'Site Definition' setting to a second site setting I have, and they are both the same.

I've tried setting the "Links Relitive to both: Document & Site Root, and the result is still the same...

Any ideas to the problem will be appreciated.

hi mate,

have you tried looking at the top of your php code, i found that it created a line "virtual" then the path to the files it needed.

i changed this to "require_once" and normally had to take the first back slash / away so it was just "dataassist\file.php"

let me know if that helps.

cheers

Path Issues

The problem has been resolved. Everything is working as the software designed it to. It appear that I was missing one critical page. The site that I built is an Admin site to manage my database items for the eCart online store, and I hadn't created a "Admin Login" page to properly access the site! Sorry.

One other concern. Is there a way to 'delete' a posting, or thread that a member submit himself/herself?

There was one other occasion that I created a thread, and discovered later that there wasn't really a problem instead it was something that I had over looked! And it would help to prevent wasting valuable tech support resources & time here at Web Assist trouble shooting a issue that isn't really a issue if the member can return later after they have logout and have the ability to delete the posting/threads when they realize what the issue is themselves!
