powergallery.php file deletion, How?

I am trying to overwrite or delete the above file on my sever via DW, but it will not let me, when I try to overwrite it I get the following message:

------------

PowerGallery100\Connections\powergallery.php - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put powergallery.php. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.

File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.

Files with errors: 1
PowerGallery100\Connections\powergallery.php

---------------

I've tried setting the permissions to 777 but nothing works.
I cannot delete the 'connections' folder in order to do a clean install as it still contains the php file.

Any ideas?

If you wanted to delete the file, you could make a php page on the server then run it to do so. Make a new file in the PowerGallery100 and put this code in it, then run the file in a browser.

php:
<?php
unlink
('Connections/powergallery.php');
?>

I don't recommend doing this unless you are sure of the exact format for the connections file that you are re-uploading since all of PowerGallery relies on having that database connection.

Depending how much you've customized, it also might be easier to just re-run the install wizard and use your new database info.

Thanks Justin, just trying to do a bit of 'house keeping' and tidy up any old and unused files/folders.
