map not showing on IE 8

The map is not showing on IE 8, while it does show on Firefox and Safari !

The error is being caused by the directions anchor:
<a name="directions" id="directions"></a>

give that anchor another name and ID, the ID Directions is reserved by the google map API for displaying driving directions:
<a name="myDirections" id="myDirections"></a>
