Create PDF from database

Hi,

I have been doing alot of research on the web regarding creating a pdf using php on the fly. What I have found is great, it shows how to create it from an html form, but what i want to do is create a pdf report from the database or from a form then store it in the database. Can datassist help me achieve this?

Many thanks again.

No, we do not offer any extensions that will convert database information to a pdf

thanks Jason, could you recommend any site/script that would be best suited to produce this?

Does Dreamweaver itself offer this facility?

Many thanks again Jason for your help

Sorry, no. This is not something I have attempted doing, so I do not have any resources to suggest for where you may get information on accomplishing this out side of Google.

Unfortunately it is not as easy as writing a script.
The solutions I have seen involve having to install an application on the host, which in most cases will require you to have a dedicated server. Beyond that there was a significant charge due to the licensing from Adobe.

thank info22862, do you know of any applications that you would install?

I have found some info on generating pdf on the fly so from a form but does not say about once it has produced it where and how to get this to save automatically to mysql database, have you seen anyway of doing this or anyone know a basic script to save doc once generated?

many thanks

Hiya Mr H,

Not sure if you're still looking for a gizmo to export your tables or recordsets to PDF (or CSV, XML, Excel ), but you could check out this extension. It is expensive though.
