Slow process, inaccurate preview

Slow process, inaccurate preview

I just got this extension to use as a time-saver. It has turned out to be a time hog. It is painfully slow. The engine crawls in DW CS3 on my G4 Mac with 1.47 mhz processor and 1.25 gb ram.

Is the machine the problem?

Also, the Preview is misaligned. If I try to edit the form width of the Sharp template, the fields hang out to the right on a 260px width. The padding shows 5px.

What am I doing wrong?

I know that the preview on the Mac can take a second or two to generate but I have only used this with the newer intel Macs myself so what you are seeing could very well be due to the speed of your machine.

As for the misaligned preview is this the preview you see in the tool or afterwards when you see it in DW? Dreamweavers ability to display pages as browsers would is not always that great, you should be previewing in browser to see the most accurate view.

CSS Form Builder preview

The preview shows the left padding way too large. Same when displayed in the browser. The text fields are off the right side of the form when the width is set to something like 260px. There appears to be no adjustment for padding in the form builder.

Do you have a link where we can see this on the page? This would be most helpful in determining what is causing this and what you can do to correct it. Also please explain a little about the customizations that you have done with this form so we can see if there is another setting you should be adjusting or if there is a better way to create the form you would like.

Slimming down the form takes quite a bit of fiddling:

Hopefully there will be some more easily customisable presets in a future release.
