use of product

Hi,
I have dynamic dropdowns and attempted to use it for a simple list/menu. I just want to list the counties from my database on my checkout form. I used the instructions and saw that they refer to parent and child, this is not necessary, since my list is just a list of counties and a customer will choose one. Can this product do this and if so, where are the instructions for a simple list/menu.
Thank you

do you need it ?

If you are simply creating a list menu which has no dependencies, you don't need to bother with dynamic dropdowns, just use Insert => Form => List/Menu, which can be populated with static or dynamic data.

The dynamic dropdown is useful when you have 2 related lists on the same form, where you wish to limit the options available in the second list, depending upon the selection made in the first

Hi Craig,
Funny thing is I can do this in plain old php. When It comes to doing it in dreamweavercs3...It does not work for me. All I want to do is take my counties table and populate a list/menu with the ny counties in my webassist checkout form. I have used the form in dreamweaver, then created my recordset, then clicked the dynamic button in prop inspec and it comes up empty. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Thank you

if you have your form and your list menu and have added a recordset via the bindings panel, in the properties of the list menu, selecting dynamic will provide a pop-up which, beside Options from recordset, your bound recordset should be listed.

if it isn't, post a url or code snippet and i will take a look
