Using Universal Email with SA emailPW

Using Universal Email with SA emailPW

The Security Assist Email Password Server Behaviour only sends a text format message that has the email address and new generated password.

Is it possible to use Universal Email to send a formatted email instead of just the text?
Can this behaviour be used instead or in combination with the SA Email password behaviour?

I was able to use Universal Email with the Registration Page and I would like all my site communications to look the same.

Thank you.

This can absolutely be done.

You would create a recordset filtered by the entered email address so that you could get the user data including the password from it.

Then apply the redirect if empy native Dreamweaver server behavior to redirect back to itself probably with a url parameter you can key off of to display an "email not found" error message.

Then apply Universal Email with the recordset data referenced for displaying the password and using the TO from either the recordset or the form field where it was entered.

Make sure the order of the server behaviors in the Server behaviors panel is:
1) Recordset
2) Redirect if Empty
3) Universal Email

That should do it.

Sending Password using Universal Email - Redirect if Empty

Hi

I am trying to use UA to send a password, with a confirmation page when the user's email details are recognised.

I would like to know how to set the redirect if empty to go to another page if the user is not recognised.

I have read Ray's response to this thread, but do not understand how to set dreamweaver's redirect if empty server behaviour.

Your help would be appreciated !

Many thanks

the server redirect is actually a web assist behavior.

open the server behaviors panel and go to WebAssist -> Utilities -> Server redirect.

set the trigger to Recordset is empty and select the desired page.
