Cannot update or insert

Thread began 11/19/2009 1:23 pm by J7HNW | Last modified 11/19/2009 1:45 pm by Jason Byrnes | 753 views | 1 replies |

Cannot update or insert

Data is on this link and is only dummy data

I can Search, View resultslist, View details, Delete a product no problem

I cannot Update a product or Insert a product.

The code query appears to be correct - eg barchester_Update.asp?ID=5 requesting the update page via the ID which is the key column.

Please help

It looks like you are using some reserved words for column names in your table, for example "date". date is a function in Access (and other) Databases to return the currant date, it should be avoided as a column name.

The following web page has a list of words that are reserved by MS Access, these words should not be used for column names in your database.
