Gift Wrapping

My client has just asked me to design a gift wraping option within the cart. I'm a little confused to where I need to add this option.

1. Should it go on the checkout page or as a seperate purchased item like a product.

Any advise would be appreciated as I'm not sure where to start or even jow to implement this option.

Thanks

Jaffa, good question. We were wondering the same thing. I think that it could be setup as and Add to Cart button with static variables assigned to the button. I am not sure how the page would refresh and add it if placed on the checkout page. I will look forward to the comments on this.

I think it depends on how you intend to charge for wrapping.

Are you looking to charge 'per order' or do you want to have giftwrap as an option on an item-by item basis ?

I find I pick things up better by example

Take a look at this l inkto see if it helps, it's a site I did last year...
