Can’t insert the serial number

I installed ProMapsGoogle in the extensionmanager. Then i tried to use the extension in DW CS4. A window popped up with a javascript error. »onLoad in wagmp_serial.htm following errors: line 219 file … App > DW CS4 > Configuration > Shared > WebAssist > GoogleMapsPro > Library > Shared_Ser_Mactivation.js: document.formLayer.document has no properties«

When i click it away (click ok-button), there is a blank grey window below, called Pro Maps Google Application, where i am supposed to type in the serial number i guess. but there are no fields shown, nothing just grey. And then i have to force quit Dreamweaver becausse nothing more is possible.

I also tried to find the .js file on my mac, there wasn’t any.

Can anybody help? Thanks.

You may be experiencing a problem with the cache file. Here is a document that we have with instructions on clearing problems related to this file. Please give this a try and let us know if you continue to experience any issues.

Extension still won’t work

Thanks for answering.

I tried this before, I already found this *.pdf on your website. The path in my library is a little different at the end, it goes the same until Dreamweaver CS4, then I have 3 folders: Common, de_DE and d en_US. The Common-Folder contains nothing. The other 2 folders contain both another folder named Configuration. They contain a lot of stuff. In the de_DE / Configuration-Folder is among other things a Document called MacFileCache-53340D12.dat and in the en_US / Configuration-Folder is also a Document called MacFileCache-53340D12.dat. I deleted this files. The problem still persists. Of course I also uninstalled the extensions and reinstalled again. I even reinstalled Dreamweaver. Unfortunately with no success.
Well, what to do now?

Just for clarification after you deleted the cache files did you restart your machine and try to use the extension again without reinstalling? If not please give this a try.

I have opened a ticket for you on this issue so that it can be looked into further. To check the status of your ticket or update it please login to the site and visit your support history.

restart machine

Hello and thanks, I tried this one … deleted the cache files, did restart the computer and tried to use the extension again without reinstalling.
But not success. Again. Sorry. I will follow the instructions from the »ticket-master« now.

I have spoken with the engineer looking into this issue with you and they have informed me that they are working this out. You can just reply back to the ticket and I will leave this one here on the forum as it is so that it can get updated when it is determined what the nature of the issue is and if there is a workaround for it.

Yes, I am in contact with the ticket-engineer. I am not at the office at the moment. I will be back there on friday and then follow the instructions he gave me. We’ll see if this works out then. Thank you so far.

Solved

Thank you for your help. We solved the problem. It had to do with our intern firewall.
