Cannot Activate eCart

Hi,

I am trying to install eCart on my PC (running Vista, DW CS4) and have run into difficulties. The extension seems to install, but when I open DW, I get a blank activation dialog and an error as follows:

"While executing onLoad in WA eCartSer.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:

At line 214 of file 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\eCart\Library\Shared_Ser_Mactivation.js': document.formLayer.document has no properties"

I have tried deleting the WinFileCache.dat file and have reinstalled the extension more than once; still the same error.

I did notice that the WebAssist folder, supposedly containing the above JavaScript document doesn't actually exist when I install the extension?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Duncan

The line of code that is referenced means that you are unable to connect to our server to activate the product. Are you running any sort of firewall, security or virus scan software that may interfere with connecting to the database? If you do, could you disable them and try activating again?

Activation issues

Hi Jimmy,

I have my serial number, but am not getting that far. My PC has no internet connection as it is used for local development only. I am on a military base during the week and have no access to the network other than on this 'work' PC, onto which I cannot install software :(

I generally create websites during the week here and upload them from home on a weekend; not ideal, but I have little choice. Is there no offline activation alternative?

Thanks,

Duncan
