Sending PayPal Billing and Shipping Info

Hi,

Using PayPal Standard in ASP: The Billing Information is sent to PayPal from the confirm page. When the customer goes to PayPal to complete the purchase the Billing Info is displayed, but it also uses the Billing Info as the Shipping Info on the PayPal order receipt.

Is it possible to send the Billing Info and the Shipping Info to PayPal and it automatically places the shipping info?

Or can only one or the other be sent and the customer has to manually add the shipping address in PayPal?

thx
Eric

There is only a single address that can be passed for the PayPal transaction so whatever the user enters is the only one that they will see during the checkout. If you would like the user to be able to use their own address when they get to the PayPal site you should look for the following form element on the confirm page:

html:
<input type="hidden" name="address_override" id="address_override" value="1" />

If you get rid of this element then the user should have the ability to use one of their own address or enter another when they get to PayPal.

Did this get you the result you were hoping for? Payments Standard can sometimes be a little rigid and not so easily customized.
