CSS menu writer not appearing

I have installed the css menu writer plugin. all of the setup windows behave as expected, but when the menu is actually inserted it shows up as clickable text rather than the menu that I created. this makes this plug in unusable.

Please help

Did you remember to upload the support files? Looks like all your CSS files are missing.

actually, this is on my computer. I create the menu, but as soon as I insert in to my page it looks like this jpg... I'm not even close to ftp.. I just want to see it work locally first. are there files that need to be in place locally??

Do you have a site defined in DW along with testing server info? You will need to have the testing server info in place and preview the page in a browser to see the full menu.

I just updated the:

article with lots of new definitions and file info. There is also a link to the
Creating a dynamic site definition in Dreamweaver article at the end.

stil not working

Ok, this is frustrating. I know how to set up a testing server. It's set up. I have followed the instructions to the letter and the menu writer and form writer WILL NOT WORK. I want real tech support. NOT FORUMS. I need this fixed ....

Sorry, I'm just a volunteer.

The "real tech support" provides support through these forums so everyone can benefit. If private information needs to be exchanged, they will open a ticket.

Eric asked you a question about what you have tried several days ago, that was not answered. The more we know about what's going on, the faster someone can help you.

The WA guys will be back during their normal weekday hours.

To stevej, are you getting the same result as your first post? How do you have your testing server defined, is it local or a remote/live server? What does the URL look like on the page when you preview the menu? Please post back with this info so we can determine what the problem may be, any additional details that you can come up with about your setup may help also.

fixed... for now

Not sure why - but everything is working. I added a menu to a pre-existing site NO TESTING SERVER at all and it just worked. Any idea why?? I also uploaded it to the actual host and it seems to work fine. I did have an issue with some of the submenu's not being visible, but I decided not to use sub menu's for this particular site... I'll write back to you when I have that issue again.

Thanks

Steve
