transaction errors not showing up

transaction errors not showing up

The first time I tried eCart I got an transaction error but the orders history and detail entered correctly in my database. Now nothing enters. I got a "transaction could not be completed" error so I added both Local Checkout Response behaviors for paypal. I dragged them over and the php symbols show up and I also put in the Full Response option but I can't get anything to show up, even view source doesn't show a single error. What do I need to do to start trouble shooting?
thanks

First, make sure you are using the correct bindings for the type of checkout you are performing.

Are you using PayPal Payments Pro?

If so, Are you checking out using the Express Checkout Option? Or are you filling in the Checkout form on the checkout page?

Which bindings did you add to the failure page?

If you are sure you have the correct bindings on the failure page and nothing is being displayed, it means the gate way credentials you are using are being refused by the gateway. they are not allowing you access to the gateway to get a response.

where is express check out

You have great products and support but some of the initial details on what to do for novices are overlooked. I don't see anywhere on the checkout form to choose express checkout. I have paypal, local checkout, followed the wizard and created all pages as your example shows. Was I not supposed to create all pages on the final step like your example shows? I want express local checkout but I don't see it or if it is one of the 8 pages that the checkout wizard made, then how do I point to the correct checkout?
thanks

If you are are using PayPal Payments pro, on the checkout page, there is a large button at the top that says "Checkout With Paypal" If you click this button, you are brought to paypals website and your transaction will be processed using the PayPal Express Checkout.

There is also a checkout form on the checkout page, if you use the checkout form, your transaction is processed using PayPal Direct Payments.
