Google Maps Show Points of interes and surrounding businesses

Is there a way to add businesses, schools, hospictals, etc. onto the map? I was thinking either with check boxes or just a simple search box where the end user might be able to just type in "high schools," etc.

Pro maps can display addresses that you supply.

You could create a database that had the addresses for all of those businesses in your area. in the address table, add a column for business type, then use DataAssist search to filter the recordset based on the selections made.
