disappearing recordsets
is there any reason and fix for a recordset disappearing from the bindings panel but it is still in the page code? Page still works but i can not add anything that needs that recordset.

I find this happens to me from time to time.
Dreamweaver seems very fussy if (valid) changes are made to a SQL statement, but the syntax doesn't exactly comply with its own preferences.
Sometimes you get a big red exclamation point, and occasionally the recordset seems to disappear altogether.
If the page still works ok, you could hand code changes to the SQL or alternatively try backing up your page, then deleting the recordset and adding it again via the interface
Whether the server behaviour is generated by DW itself or a WA tool, when you modify the code manually the internals can often no longer recognise the distinct code and either highlights it as having a "problem" or it disappears from the panel altogether. This is quite normal :-)

pretty much everything I do is through the bindings panel not in the code as I am not good enough for that yet. One minute it was there and the next it was not.
in that case, i recommend you back up the page, then delete the recordset from the bindings panel, then create it again with the fields you need.
if you can't achieve what you want, post your code and i'll take a look.
try this :
if you modified the SQL, please make the SQL in "ONE" line...
for example :
select * from table <==== ONE line (ok)
select *
from table <========== TWO lines (no) (the recordset will disappear )
then the recordset will not disappear ....
try it..
