No Transactions Showing In PayPal Sandbox

No Transactions Showing In PayPal Sandbox

I am using the PayPal Sandbox to test out my PS2 site. After adding a product to my cart, I then click Checkout and the PayPal button to "complete the transaction", which takes me to the PayPal Sandbox login screen. I then login using the information I used to establish the Sandbox account. Then I select Test Accounts, select one of the test accounts and login to it after clicking the "Enter Sandbox Test Site" button. But in the "My Transactions" window there are no transactions listed.

Key WAGlobal settings:
$WAGLOBAL_Gateway = 1;
$WAGLOBAL_Test_Mode = false;
$WAGLOBAL_Paypal_Sandbox = "true";

NOTE: In case it may have some bearing, I did not first create a User via the Register process within PS2 before trying to "purchase" a product. Not sure that it required since I was never prompted to do so.

Does anyone have ideas on how I can resolve or troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance.

Are you using your sandbox credentials for the transaction? A sandbox account is completely separate and different than a live account and you must ensure that you have the sandbox credentials in place when you are testing. Also, after you launch the sandbox you will need to complete the transaction there and get back to your checkout success page before you would be able to see any transaction details. One other thing is that when you are testing you should have a sandbox user that is different than your main sandbox account since you are not allowed to make PayPal purchases from yourself.

I tried again and successfully logged into PP Sandbox using a "buyer" login rather than my Sandbox "master" account, so to speak. (Don't know why that didn't work yesterday.) I did get further in that a screen came up asking me to "Review Your Information", which reflected the information I used in setting up this "buyer" account. (Similar to what I see when logging into a normal account.)

However, after clicking the Continue button, I promptly get a "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." error message. I don't know if this is internal to the PayPal Sandbox (I suspect it is) or to PowerStore 2.0. I tried three times but always get the same error message. I may try again later to see if it clears up on its own.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

It sounds like you have gotten a server error on your page and your host has a custom 500 level error page enabled. You should check to see if this is a setting that you can adjust for your hosting and turn it off temporarily. If you don't have this control you should speak to your host to have them temporarily turn this off.

Once you can see the error that is occurring on the page you will have a better idea of where to look for the problem.
