You should be able to delete categories.

After deleting the category does it show on the front end pages?

When im in the products insert page, I click delete on the right handside of the category that i dont want and nothing happens.

I need this sorting as my client will need to be able to add and delete categories depending their stock.

Any ideas?

The only way to delete categories is through the productcategories_Results.php page. You should not able to delete categories from the product insert page.

In order to delete a category, you can click on the Define button the product insert page which will take you to the productcategories_Results.php page, and that is where you are able to delete categories by clicking on the Delete button.

I'm just a little unclear since you mentioned that you are deleting from the product insert page.

No, its where you add a catergory in the admin section, and there is a delete button for each catergory you have created, but for some reason the catergory wont delete from that button, in fact it doesn't do anything.

Thats why i've found going into the phpmyadmin is the only place to delete a catergory.

Is this a new bug?

I just did a quick test and the delete seems to be working fine for me.

Could you please try the delete on a different browser (this could be a submit button issue), so try it on FF and IE and see if you get different results.
