product order and shipping confirmation

Hi
I need to change the product order number, now the firse order is #1, I need to start like 10235, it's possible ?
Sometimes when I check "send confirmation" from admin area the email is empty...

The order id is an auto-incremented value in the database. You can try manually changing the order id for the last order you made to the value you want it to start at and the order id should increment from there.

Are you able to consistently reproduce the email not sending on certain orders?
