Private ticket for fine tuning please

Jason, I have followed all of the "How to's" very carefully I think, but I really need help from someone familiar with WA Power Store 2 to do some very basic fine tuning. May I have a private ticket please? Thanks so much! Meg

We can open a ticket for you if it is needed but generally we like to do what we can here on the public forum so that others can benefit form it. If there is a need to exchange private info or files then a ticket can be opened. Please explain a little about what exactly you are trying to fine tune and we will be glad to help get you going in the rite direction.

Preview failure

Eric:

I am having difficulty getting a live view or preview. It puts or uploads the whole site and I can see on the server that the files are there but I get the error message: The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded. I think the problem is how I have configured the URLs but don't know how to fix it.

Also, under live view, I receive this: The handle is in the wrong state for the requested operation.

I have set up a local host XAMPP (on a different site) but am not using it because I prefer to see it working on the remote server.

I'm not sure, but I don't think I can give you further details without giving you my private data. Thanks for your help!

neilo

Just before Eric gets back to you, when you say 'live view' do you mean viewing the site live by going to your http://www.yoursite.com, or 'live view' by using the live view button in Dreamweaver? If the latter, you will need site set up with local testing server (XAMPP).

Live view

Neilo,

Thanks for the response! Yes, I mean the live view button on Dreamweaver. I am very new at this and find the learning curve very steep but not impossible, especially with a little help :)

Have you setup your sites testing server to work with the remote server? If so you should use the preview in browser to check out how the pages will look and operate. Please give this a try and let us know if you encounter more problems. If you have problems still please be as descriptive as you can so that we can determine what to look into.

remote testing server

Yes, I set up the remote site and ran the tests and it says testing is complete, no problem. It just won't show me the site with the errors I gave you previously. I have a GOTOMYPC account and would be happy to allow you access, but I can't give you that information in a public forum. Thanks,

Meg
