Upload not available

I have added HTML Editor, specified the upload directory and file security settings but when I click the image icon, then upload, it says:

Upload
not available

What am I missing?

Make sure when you add an editor that you have enabled file uploads. While you specify a folder and security in the Global Upload variables, you will actually need to hit the customize button at the top where you can specify all sorts of attributes for the editor... of which you will see on the General tab, two check boxes for "allow file uploads" and the other one is to determine if you want to use the advanced file manager. You can then save your choices as a preset to have a quick insert going forward on each new instance.

Brian

That worked great, but like any other formatting I apply using HTML Editor or iRite if I then go to the Update page, it removes the image and I have to re-insert it.

What happens is any time I set an link or image when I go to update that page it changes

" to &quot

so I end up with
Source from update
<p><a href="&quot;http://heartsafe.ca&quot;"><img height="85" width="231" border="0"

align="&quot;right&quot;" src="&quot;/images/heartsafe_logo.jpg&quot;"

alt="&quot;HeartSafe&quot;">HeartSafe</a>

Instead of
<p><a href="http://heartsafe.ca"><img height="85" width="231" border="0" align="right"

alt="HeartSafe" src="/images/heartsafe_logo.jpg">HeartSafe</a>

bj,

My guess is you probably updated your instances of iRite with HTML editor, correct?

I found that iRite had issues with how it handled existing content... if you can post your code just for the iRite instance where it holds the Rich Text Editor on one of the instances giving you problems, I can take a look at it and advise what to change to fix that issue.

Regards,

Brian

I did not uninstall iRite before installing HTML editor.
Are you implying that if I were to remove both and reinstall HTML editor that it would function correctly?

I have no idea what code you are referring to "code just for the iRite instance where it holds the Rich Text Editor"
