Should this be done with VT

I want to have a series of checkboxes that depending which one i check it reveals a different search form. So I have a checkbox named "name". When this is checked or unchecked I want a search form that I have revealed. ! also for date and so on..

You can do this using client side validations on your form. The idea is that you apply the required validations on the checkbox and as a response to that validation you use the show/hide layer response. In this show hide response you select the triggering form element, the checkbox, then the target for element, your text field for that checkbox. You then specify 'if trigger is valid' then 'show target layer'.

I'm including an example of this on a page so that you have a reference.

Can't see how this is suppose to work since there is no layer on the page. No matter what I do the show/hide layer behavior wants a layer.

When you are applying the show hide layer response you should be able to choose the triggering form element and for the layer you should be able to select the input from your form. If you do not see your input available it might be missing an id attribute, if this is the case you should make sure to add this in for each element on the page. All form elements should have a name and id, I usually use the same value for both of these attributes of an element.

I'm including a screen shot of what the behavior looks like on the example page, you should open this page in DW to get a feel for how the form and elements should be setup.
