remote connection

hello,

today i started with PowerCMS. I have configured the WA_Globals.php and the localhost.php and imported the database-file with PhPMyAdmin. So i work on a remote server. When i type the remote url i get a beautifull login page. (index.php) I type the username and password i used in the WA_Globals.php and nothing happens...I have read many subjects on the support forum but could not realy find an answer on my question. However i have read that the WA_Globals.php should be moved to the adminfolder. Is that correct? This is as far as i know not mentioned in any pdf!?
Can somebody help me out please?

the WA_Globals.php file should not get moved anywhere.

I would double check your username and password you have specified in your WA_Globals.php file and make sure you have not added a space or extra characters that could cause this issue.

Hello Dani,

i removed the Globals from the adminfolder and put it back into the Globalsfolder.
I could login now and everything looks fine......although when i click on one of the buttons i get the next error: Not Found

The requested URL /PowerCMS folder/admin/contents_results.php was not found on this server.

I think this has something to do with the path although i did not replace anything!?

I send you a screen picture of the file-structure.

....I discovered that when i remove the 'PowerCMSfolder' in the url i get the right page!?
Question now is where or how i can change this...?
I see in the WA_Globals.php de next code;

$WAGLOBAL_localRoot = "/PowerCMS folder/"; //relative path to your PowerCMS files on your local testing server.
$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/PowerCMS folder/"; //relative path to your PowerCMS files on your remote server.

should i remove or replace "/PowerCMS folder/" i am not sure
further its not clear to me at this point where al the files must be stored!? (i mean the PowerCMS together with the site-files)
I cannot find any instructions in the pdf's for this
Please advice!

You can place the the PowerCMS files in any way you prefer as long as they are under the same folder. From the screen shot you have it looks like you placed the files under your root. In this case you should set:

$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/PowerCMS folder/";

to

$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/";

which will indicates that you are at the root.
