Yes... you can get your CMS installed and then use the extension to replace the iRite editor on the necessary pages.

WebAssist stated in another thread they will release an update of PowerCMS with the new editor in it... that should be coming soon.

Best regards,

Brian

I would like to hook it on now if that is at all possible

Can you tell me how I would go about this,

Kind regards,

We do not have a guide for updating the editor, but we will be releasing an updated version of PowerCMS with the new editor in it.

You could do this yourself but you would need to configure the new HTML Editor instances yourself since it won't use the values from the Globals file. Also after you replace an instance on a page you will need to make sure you set it's default value correctly. You should also check to ensure that the other server behaviors that work with that field are set correctly for the new field.

If you are unsure about performing any of these steps yourself it may be best to wait for the new updated PowerCMS.

Is there a time frame

Will this happen before the end of the year or will we be waiting till next year.

Also for CMS that I have already gone to a lot of trouble to hook on will this be easy to update now?

I currently do not have an ETA for this update, sorry. Keep an eye out for the announcement. As for the actual update process I don't have many details on this. I think it may require some updating of files in the PowerCMS but all of the info you have in your db should be usable still.

huh ?

There's no estimated date? I just bought this and now I have to wait until you decide to update to the newer code ? I bought this after the new editor was released thinking that you would update the solution that used this. So is the image upload fix talked about in the forum sticky going to be updated in the newer version also or are we going to have to fix that code ourselves also?

I do not have any details on what features will be available in the newly updated version. If there are any problems with the extension that have been fixed or updated internally all of those fixes should make it into the PowerCMS update when it becomes available. I do not have any further information about this update at this time.
