Styling CSS doesn't work

hello,
i had add a div in my css file:
#readMore{
font-size:28px;
text-decoration:underline;
}

i also saw the div defined in xml file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<Styles>
<Style name="ReadMore" element="span" >
<Attribute name="id" value="readMore" />
</Style>
</Styles>

i had block a text in editor, and select dropdown list and select readMore.

But there's no change in HTML Editor2 , although in my database it stored correctly:
<div id="readMore">test</div>

so, what went wrong ?

Is the style defined in your editor's style sheet or just in the site?

Remember, the editor's page is pulled by Javascript... so a style sheet attached just to it's holding page won't do the trick.

You have to explicitly define editor styles in the editor dialogue box.
