Payment gateway

Hello, I need to use paypal payment type (with api code) and other payment ways, the other payment ways only store in database the selected payment type.
In checkout page I add a jump menu that set a session variable called payment_type, in confirm page I store this session variable in the database (I just add the payment_type field inside order table) with 'ecart store summary in database'.
In confirm page I need to change the payment gateway like the documentation tutorial ? I do not try... but the user can pay with paypal in checkout page (with fast payment button) or in confirm page ? I need to change something in confirm page ?
If the user not use paypal I need only to store the choice from checkout page.

This will require some custom coding on your confirm page but you will need to do a check on your new session variable that you are setting. In an if statement around the checkout server behavior for PayPal you can check the value of this session variable. If it is not set to a PayPal value then do not execute the PayPal local checkout, if it is PayPal then proceed to the PayPal local checkout. This if statement will be a custom crafted piece that will not be directly supported. If you have any problems with it though let us know and we can try to help.

As for the rest of this what do you want to have happen when the user continues with the checkout? This part should get you past the checkout and insert the value into the db.

Hello Eric,
Ok, I execute the PP_DirectPayment server behavor only if session payment_type (from checkout page) is set on paypal, but if a user select from checkoutpage the button fast payment (on top of this page) what happen ? I can't try in local...

If the user select other payment type like bank trasfer etc, I need only to store this option in database and an email send with data to do the payment.

The user will always have the option to just checkout with PayPal at the top of the checkout page. This should be fine because if the user wishes to pay with their PayPal account then this is the option for them. If they wish to pay by credit card or through one of your other offerings they would choose so from the select list. You should be able to store the information about this selection directly into the table with the store order summary server behavior on the confirm page. Please post back if I'm not understanding the situation correctly.
