Trying to get shipping costs to add to price of product

Trying to get shipping costs to add to price of product

I want to get shipping costs to show up in the shopping cart display manager. I can't even get a flat rate to work and I have somebody wanting me to add more complicated shipping costs. I have been through the help files and have carried them out.

I have run through the checkout wizard which is supposed to make the shipping rules happen.
Any help appreciated.

When you created the cart display page, did you select to have the shipping displayed?

In the cart display manager, on the third step, you can chose how to show shipping, tax, discounts or charges. The choices are:
Don't Show
Summary
Individually

If the cart display was created to show the shipping, how are the triggers set?

can you send a screen shot showing how the shipping rule was set up.

Trying to get more than one shipping rule to work

Hi
I've got that to work. What I need to do is this
one item costs $7.50 shipping two or more items cost $10.

At the moment I've got it working if the value of the items are less than $50 shipping is $7.50 but my boss wants it based on number of items in about a month. Do I use more than one shipping rule and if so how do I get them to work?
Thanks for your time and patience

Basing shipping on price not good enough

At the moment I've got it working if the value of the items are less than $50 shipping is $7.50 but my boss wants it based on number of items in about a month.
But it isn't good enough I need to know how to have 1 product for shipping odf 7.70 and 2or more for 10.
I need to know asap.
Thanks

The rule isn't working on 2 of the same item

My basic rule if there 1 unique item in the cart the shipping is 7.50 if there more than 2 items then shipping is free. But the current problem I am having is that when it is 2 of the same item it is still showing 7.50 but when it is 2 separate items it works.
Very frustrating what anm I doing wrong?

Its the trigger you are using. The Unique Items in the cart trigger refers to Line Items.

you need to use the Subtotal For any column trigger:

shipping for 1 item:
If the sub Total of Quantity equals 1

flat rate charge of 7.50

------

2 or more:
If the sub Total of Quantity is greater than 1

flat rate charge of 10

Initial panic over -

Thanks for the advice after my initial panicked posting I've got the first part working 1 item $7.50, 2 or more free - probably wouldn't find it in any manual but it works. I will have another go using your suggestion. I add them as 2 seperate shipping rules?

Yes, add them as two separate rules.
