Adding Products

I have my site live and when I try to add products thru the admin area it won't let me. I keeps asking for images for the description which I don't have right now and want to add them later. I have tried uploading images in these areas just to fill the request but it won't take them and it won't allow me to finish adding my product. PLEASE HELP!

What happens when you are adding in temporary filler images? Does it give an error? If so, what is that error?

What format is the image that you are uploading?

When I try to put in filler images and try to save it, the boxes where you put the file goes blank and the words are highlighted in red. I have tried jpg, png and gif files. I have tried using both the browse button to point to the image and just entering in the path. I get the same result either way. Also is it better to build everything including entering the products in the database on my local host and then uploading all at once or does it really matter. Right now I have it live and am trying to add my products that way.

I am under a very tight deadline. Any fast help on this would be great!

Fixed it!

I wasn't getting any errors that suggested that I did not have the correct permissions. Somehow when I uploaded the site to go live the "upload" folder in images got defaulted to inherit. I went in and checked read, write and it is working now. Sorry for not checking that first. Thanks
