Recurring Character in Password Problem
We used Security Assist to create a document download system for one of our clients, here is a link to the system:
manage/
You create an account as normal, no problems here.
This is where it gets strange.
We are having issues where a client ca create a password that the system will allow to enter the database but not allow the user to login with. For instance, if you create an account then log into the system and change your password to 12341234 the system will allow you to make the change but you will not be able to log in using 12341234.
You can change your password to most anything but if it has a repeat the system does not like, the change is accepted into the system but you can not log in and must go the password recovery route.
The system allows a password of "abcdabcd" but not "12341234".
It allows "ericeric" but not "12341234"
We are clueless as to why it would behave so unevenly?
Can anyone shed light?
