Do I have the wrong GSG guide?

New to eCart4 and working my way through the practice store. I'm wondering if I somehow got an outdated getting started guide. For example, when I click on these links, the links go nowhere, just a redirect to webassit home page:

"For instructions on configuring your local machine to operate as a PHP/MySQL testing server, review the following How To.
http://webassist.com/go/ecart/gsg/webdev"

"Follow this How To for importing the sample database file to your MySQL database.
http://webassist.com/go/ecart/gsg/importsql"

I am a concerned after laying out the bucks on this product that I have the wrong documentation. One would assume that documentation would be up to date with a current release like this, so I must have the wrong guide. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out with the proper docs.

Hiya whatmeworry,

I believe there are a few updated links which have not yet been reflected in some of the documentation. I understand that WebAssist are in the process of looking at the currency of the documentation, and will be updating it as soon as they can.

The documents you are looking for can now be found here:

Wow!

You mean that the documentation that accompanies the software we purchased is inaccurate and outdated? Links in a pdf file can be fixed in moments and updated online. I am amazed. My boss is going to be pissed.

The documentation that accompanies each product should be completely current and accurate. There is a possibility for a few broken links, as files move around from time to time. I have gone ahead and reviewed the eCart Getting Started Guide and the broken links have been fixed.

As for broken links or inaccuracies...if you ever notice anything that is wrong, let us know via the following URL, and we will fix it right away.
