eCart 4 tutorial files have locks on them

I am going thru the eCart tutorial and I have downloaded the dynamic site starting point files and copied them into my wamp\www\eCart_tutorial folder and then created a new dreamweaver site. All the files in the site in the dreamweaver files panel have a lock beside them and are read only files....did I do something wrong? or is that the way they are suppose to be?

Haven't seen that before. You can safely remove the read-only flag.
You didn't say what operating system you're using but in Windows you can right-click the file, select Properties, and un-check the read-only checkbox.

hey, that worked!

I am using Vista and am having a heck of a time getting through the tutorial, but am learning a lot along the way and trying to remain patient. I know I will get it sooner or later. Every time I run into a problem I post on here and sure enough, some one has the answer. Yeah! I am having problems connecting to the database now, but will post it on a different thread tomorrow.

Thank you for the help!

You have the right attitude. Don't get hung-up on what you don't understand, just keep gathering information and it will all come together. :)
