SecurityAssist Options Gray'd Out

SecurityAssist Options Gray'd Out

I had to install the securityassist extension twice. The first time I was prompted for the Serial Number and all was fine. The second time after removing the first install, everything reinstalled fine but I am not asked for the SN and the options are gray'd out. I have deleted the cache file in the configuration folder. Thanks in advance.

In order to use SecurityAssist in a Dreamweaver site you must make sure the following has been done:
1. Create a site in Dreamweaver including the local info and testing server.
2. For the testing server you will need to specify the server model or language you will be working in. You will also need to have the access portion specified.
3. Open up a page that matches the server model you choose for the testing server and save this page to the site.
4. With the page open you can use the SecurityAssist Wizard.

My subtitles are grayed out also

And I don't understand the reply. I can open up WebAssist>SecurityAssist but all of the sub choices are grayed out. How can I get this to work?

The SecurityAssist options will be grayed out until:

1) you have created a Dynamic Site in Dreamweaver.
2) You have created a a dynamic page and saved it to the site.
3) The Dynamic page you created is open.

See the following for information on creating a dynamic site in Dreamweaver:

If you are unsure on what server language to chose, you should use PHP.

Sadly I am having the same problem with a site I am trying to add this to. The site was configured for ASP.Net VB and the files have an .aspx extension.

I have IIS installed on my local machine and the testing server configured for it and when you press the test button, it says it connects.

The testing server setup:

Server Model: ASP.Net VB
Access: Local/Network
Testing Server: H:\Inetpub\wwwroot\

URL prefix: localhost/

The webhost is also running a windows server, which is why I am running IIS on the local development machine.

SecurityAssist is not compatible with ASP.net.

It is compatible with Classic ASP VBScript and Classic ASP Javascript, Cold Fusion and PHP.
