ecart is not forcing to fill in email

We have ecart with universal email and it was supposed to force customers to fill in an email address on the checkout page in order to continue. but it is not forcing them to fill and because of that the order go through successfully with the payment and the data go to the database without sending email receipts properly to the customer and to us. Please let us know what we need to do.

Thanks.

You need to use validation toolkit to validate the email form field using Required not Blank validation.

I am sorry, Jason. I am not clear with what you mean - what validation kit?

Validation Toolkit is a part of the CSS Form Builder extension.

If you have CSS Form builder installed, go to Insert -> WebAssist -> CSS Form builder -> Server Validation to start working with validation toolkit.
