No Define button shown

I'm using CS3 on OSX 10.5.8 with SecurityAssist 1.1.8
The SecurityAssist Wizard has no Define button shown when the Server model is ColdFusion why is this?

Instead of defining a DB connection it should just use the RDS connection. Once you have entered the values for the RDS connection into the application panel in DW you should be able to select from any of the datasources available on the server from within the wizard.

The other server models use special connection files to connect to the data, but ColdFusion just connects directly to the server and the datasource is specified for each use.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my service provider does not allow RDS login to the server and will not give me ColdFusion admin access so I'm stuck if I want to use SecurityAssist for a ColdFusion server model. I can use PHP and this works but I was really hoping to use CF tecnology for the site. If you have any other suggestions then please let me know. I can configure the domain settings using a Helm control panel for DataSources etc if this helps.

The way to get around the lack of RDS connectivity is to run a local ColdFusion server. So long as you have the same datasource with the same name it should work the same when you put it up on the server.

ColdFusion will allow you to install a developer version without a license, at least that is what I have installed. It is for dev only and will be limited to 2 ip addresses that can access it. You can then create and test the pages locally.

Aside from getting the server setup I definitely prefer working with PHP over ColdFusion but this is mostly a personal choice, if you are comfortable with CF then that is the one you should go with.

Thanks Eric,
Where can I download a developer version of CF without a license

If I Google download cf this is the first link that comes up:

downloads.html

It looks like you can download the developer edition from here.
