Simple cart to buy time credits

Hi,

I have a membership based site and would like to extend the service by introducing a credit purchase system enabling users to buy periods of time and attributing the period to their account.

For example; user A logs in and buys Credit Option A (90 days access at GBP5.00)

Can eCart fulfil this simple task?
(I'd be using a paypal account to process the transaction)

If so, what woulsd be my approach?

Thanks, Paul

Hiya Paul, - can't answer your question - but nicely designed site. Tried registering, but 'Crazyplum Client Account Password' email sends username but blank password. So register function not working. Difficult to trial these things on own machine so just thought I would pass that on in case you weren't aware there was a problem (although you probably are!).

Anyway, great looking site. Hope you find the answer.

Neilo,

Grateful for the heads up - No I did not know of this issue, but have since resolved.

Thanks.

You can definitely use eCart for the transacting portion of this but to extend the user subscription time will depend on how you store this info. If you just store the end date of the users current membership then when the order was complete you would want to update this value to be +90 days or whatever they purchases.
