Add to Cart ... Cart Total a Step Behind

Noticed this a couple of times with sites I've built with Super Suite & eCart, but I've built a simple add-to-cart section on a couple of pages of a site I'm developing.

new.php?s=3&p=11

Seems to work alright, but the cart total (bottom option in the left hand menu) is always a step behind where it should be. I've never really solved the issue in previous sites I've built and am keen to learn why it does this.

Any thoughts on why?

most likely the problem is in the order of the code. if the code that displays the cart total occurs on the page before the add to cart code, this could explain the problem.

It could also be that the cart contents just need to be updated before the cart total is written.

Try adding:

php:
$CartName->GetContent();

just be fore the code that outputs the total to refresh the cart.

Hmmm ...

Doesn't seem to have made any difference, Jason.

new.php?s=3&p=13

I've opened up that menu item to be displayed whether there's a product in the cart or not.

Is there any way I can force a refresh of the page after something has been added to the cart? If you add to cart it'll show $0.00, if you then refresh it'll display the total.

It's probably the code order then.

Can you send a copy of your page in a zip archive so I can take a look at the code.
