site assist pro wizard - can't apply different layout

site assist pro wizard - can't apply different layout

My apologies up front, as this is probably a very basic question. I have version 1.05 of siteassist professional. I created a new site and then launched the wizard. I see the various layout and design options on the second page of the wizard, but none of them seem to work or get applied when I select them and try to view in the Preview pane. the only layout/design that does get applied is the one that I used to create my first site with Dreamweaver and site assist.

I've been away from these tools awhile, am I missing something basic? Do you have to download these templates ans support files first? Again, from the Wizard I have a bunch of layout options so I go to think they are loaded on my system.

Thanks;
Thomas

You can manage the layouts that are available through either the Layout Manager or Preset Manager depending on what other versions of tools you have installed, they are just different names for the manager.

In here you should be able to select SiteAssist Pro and manage the layouts available. You should be able to find more layouts for the default designs in your download history. I'm not sure if what you are experiencing is a problem with the layouts or some other issue in the tool. If you can please post back with some screen shots of what you are experiencing so that we have a reference.

Here is what is going on: no matter what layout I pick (numerous layouts and designs are listed in the dropdown box), it always just shows this layout (siteassit1.jpg) This is the only layout that I ever downloaded the source for, but as you see on the layout manager (siteassist2.jpg) numerous other layouts are listed. I haven't downloaded the source for those layouts, but I believe I should still be able to apply thoseother layouts correct?

It definitely looks like the layouts are not working correctly for you. I think the best thing for you to do would be to uninstall SiteAssist Pro then re-install it again after downloading the latest mxp from the download center. I'm not sure how the layouts would get messed up like this but re-installing should get all of the regular default layouts loaded again for you. Let us know if there are any other problems after you re-install.

Installing 1.0.7 did the trick. And I'm glad to know it wasn't me. Thanks again.

I'm so glad to heat that, this was definitely a head scratcher type of issue. Hopefully someone else that may encounter this behavior can find this thread and gain from it. Thanks for being so patient and understanding while trying to work this out.
